The Activist Physician
Dr. Brandon Mines believes that healthcare extends beyond the clinic. As an "Activist Physician," he is passionate about using his platform to foster health, education, and opportunity within underserved communities. His commitment to community well-being is evident through his involvement in several key initiatives aimed at empowering youth and promoting positive change.

As an Advisory Board Member for Partnership for Proactive Health, Dr. Mines plays a crucial role in utilizing the influence of professional athletes and healthcare professionals to educate grade school and middle school students on simple, impactful health topics. By connecting youth with leaders in health and sports, this program ensures that students gain access to essential knowledge that promotes healthy lifestyles from a young age.
Through his work with 100 Black Men of America, Dr. Mines mentors young African-American students, focusing on academics, career exploration, and social skill development. His goal is to shape future leaders by providing guidance, support, and opportunities for personal growth. By investing in the next generation, Dr. Mines aims to pay it forward and ensure that young men in the Black community have the tools they need to succeed.
The Opportunity to Reach The Highest Objective
Dr. Mines founded The ORTHO Project, a 501(c)(3) organization, to create and offer unique experiences for minority students interested in the world of sports medicine and related fields. The ORTHO Project is dedicated to introducing students to career paths they may not have otherwise encountered, encouraging exploration, mentorship, and professional growth within sports medicine.

As the Deputy Director of Community Outreach for LEWIS, Dr. Mines works to build bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve. His efforts focus on fostering accountability, mutual respect, and equitable treatment, while promoting dialogue and collaboration between officers and community members. Through education and outreach, LEWIS aims to create a safer, more just environment for all.

Committed to Building Healthier Communities for the Future
Dr. Mines’ commitment to community health is driven by a passion for reaching back and giving others the support and opportunities they need to thrive. His work in education, mentorship, and advocacy is a testament to his belief that true healthcare involves caring for both individuals and communities.
